Unit Ten: MANAGERS AND CEOS
  Everybody dreams of being a manager or CEO of a big company because often it represents great success. If your dream comes true one day, would you know how to arrange your business work well, how to write a work schedule, how to chair a business meeting, how to manage your people and so on? These are the basic qualities of a good manager. In this unit you'll learn something about how to communicate like a successful manager.
  In "Face to Face", after you learn the samples and complete all the tasks, the result will be that you can arrange a schedule and manage your employees. Also, you will learn something about how to prepare for a conference and how to chair a business meeting. You can learn the dialogues first and then practice them or act them out in different ways so that you know how to express yourself in this on this topic.

  In "Being All Ears", practice listening and comprehension of two dialogues and one passage about business meetings and the life of some managers. Please listen to them again and again and pay attention to what, who, which, how, where, when, etc. There is much to learn from all the tasks designed for you in this section.

  In "Maintaining a Sharp Eye", you will read two passages "One Minute Manager" and "Remarks at the Marco Polo Award Presentation Ceremony". When you complete all the tasks relating to the passages, you will learn how a smart manager manages and motives his staff, as well as, some successful management experiences of a world-famous American company.

  In "Trying Your Hand", learn to be a practical manager and practice how to write, read and translate information about agendas, conference programs and registration forms. The Sentence Writing Part will teach you how to write a conclusion for a paragraph or a passage.

  In "Having Some Fun", there is a funny story, perhaps you will cross paths with one of these people sometime soon. Read it and have fun!
