Unit Three: COMMUNICATION BY PHONE
Have you ever talked with your friends by phone or taken a telephone message in the office or at home? Do you know how to make a phone call? In this unit you will learn the proper telephone etiquette.
In "Face to Face", all the samples and tasks in this section aim to teach you how to communicate with people by phone or how to take a telephone message. This unit is very useful for communication in day to day life. Try your best to remember all the expressions in this section.
In "Being All Ears", you will practice listening and comprehension skills in order to talk with people by phone and to take telephone messages for people. Listen to the phrases again and again, paying special attention to what, who, which, how, where and when, etc., thus you will understand the contents completely. Remember, if you can listen well, you will be able to speak well too.
