Unit Nine: APPLYING FOR A JOB
  What are you going to do in the future? Finding a good and satisfying job may be everyone¨s dream and to some extent it is the key to success. If you are looking for a job, besides a proper resume, it is most likely that you will be asked for a job interview. Therefore, your introduction in the resume and performance in the job interview play an important role in getting offered the job. In this unit you'll learn something more about this practical topic.
  In "Face to Face", while following the tasks you will learn how to perform on a job interview and how to apply for a job. You will find this unit quite useful to your life, especially when you want to look for a job. Please pay attention to some special terms and expressions related to those subjects in this unit.
  In "Being All Ears", you will improve your listening and comprehension skills by going through two dialogues and a passage about applying for a job and job interview. While listening, pay extra attention to such details as what, who, which, how, where, when, etc. You will learn something about how to communicate with the interviewer in the job interview, as well as some suggestions on how to be successful in a job interview.
  In "Maintaining a Sharp Eye", when you read the two passages "Applying for a New Boss" and "Beginning the New Business", you will learn about why a good boss is important, how to find a good boss, and some successful business principles as well. The tasks given in this section will help you have a better understanding of the passages.
